Join the WAYV team for an evening of interstellar music and moon-gazing aspiration from Warrington’s rising stars! The evening promises to be a gig like no other, which gives audience members the chance to enjoy a variety of quality performances in the glow of Luke Jerram’s awe-inspiring sculpture ‘Museum of the Moon’. The first confirmed artists on the bill are Hollow Vandals; local lads from Priestley College. Check out their new E.P ‘Turn that down… I can’t think!’ on Spotify. Stay tuned for more acts to be confirmed.
This event is brought to you by the talented teenagers of the WAYV project, which aims to provide opportunities for young people in Warrington to influence real change in their communities through social action. When presented with the opportunity to stage a WCAF take over-event, the teens wanted to give young people in Warrington the opportunity to perform their music in a venue that represented success: the Parr Hall! By inviting young bands and performers to audition and play, the WAYV team aim to raise aspirations and offer advice and guidance from professional organisations to pursue an exciting career in music.
